Movement Classes

Growing evidence shows that vigorous exercise may have a neuroprotective effect for people with PD. Our group movement classes offer a flexible and functional exercise approach that target multiple symptoms and allow for adaptation for disease severity. These classes specifically target four skills shown by research to interfere with mobility in people with PD: antigravity extension, weight shifting, axial mobility, and transitional movements. Movement is a key element to living well with PD. See our list of movement classes below.
While there is no charge to participate there are significants costs to offer our programs and services.
Participants are required to complete a
membership application and participation waiver before participating in online and in person programs. Click below to complete the required application online.

Why online classes?

In response to COVID-19 safety concerns and to protect the health of our members, we have rallied our resources to put together online classes, support groups and educational talks to help you live well with PD safely from home.
We will return to in person classes again as soon as it is safe to do so, while continuing to offer online classes for those who would like to maintain social distancing.
