Rhythm & Motion

​New:  Rhythm & Motion (In-Person Class)

Join Mitzi Montgomery for this exciting new in-person class “Rhythm and Motion for PD.” Be among the first to take part in this new class offered through the PASWFL. Inspired by the Dance for PD® model from the Mark Morris Dance Company, this transformative program uses music and guided movement to improve strength, balance, coordination, and connection.

Designed for all levels and abilities, this seated class offers a joyful, empowering way for people living with Parkinson’s to stay active and engaged.  (Scroll down to learn about our Rhythm & Motion instructor, Mitzi Montgomery).

Classes are held Tuesdays @ 10:00 am Beginning on June 16, 2026
and are open to Members of the PASWFL and their care partners & family.
At the Naples Arts and Banquet Center 3285 Pine Ridge Road Naples, FL 34109.

Registration is required. Please register by 3:00 p.m. on the Tuesday before class.

ABOUT MITZI MONTGOMERY:
Mitzi Montgomery brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and creative movement to her work with people living with Parkinson’s disease. She is trained through the Dance for PD® certification program, developed by the Mark Morris Dance Group, a globally recognized leader in movement programs for individuals with PD.
​
In addition, Mitzi is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Florida, with more than 25 years of experience working directly with Parkinson’s clients. Her background in rehabilitation, combined with her specialized training in movement and music, allows her to create programs that are not only safe and effective, but also engaging and uplifting.
Mitzi is passionate about helping individuals improve strength, balance, coordination, and confidence—while fostering connection, creativity, and joy through movement.
While there is no charge to participate there are significants costs to offer our programs and services​. 
​Participants are required to complete a
