Beth Poorman

Board Member at Large
Picture
Beth Poorman moved to Naples from Boulder Colorado, where she raised her three children with her husband Brad, while also volunteering with the Boulder Hockey, Soccer, and the Rocky Mountain Golf Tour. After attending the University of Delaware, Beth worked for seven years at the Boulder Humane Society to ensure homeless pets were adoption ready and would find their second homes.  As Beth’s children left for college, she transitioned into teaching Elementary school, then served as Supervisor for the Boulder School District. Beth is an active biker and runner, and has participated in triathlons, half Marathons, and completed 15 Boulder Bolder races.

Beth’s passion for the organization stems from personal experience participating in the daily routine of her father, who has Parkinson Disease. She currently serves on the organization’s development committee, board of directors, and as co-chair of the Parkinson’s Association of SWFL’s signature fundraiser; A Step Forward – Overcoming Obstacles.
